“I do not need to see the houses to know that the rock has to go, and no amount of lawyering or politicking will adequately solve the issue” – Jack Caldwell (link below)
The ‘Celtic Tiger’, our building and house buying frenzy, now only a megalomaniacal-driven nightmare with roads built around roads, train tracks to nowhere, tax-leeching tolls, ghost estates, empty and half-finished hotels, built and half built warehouses, the monstrous edifices to bankers, our greed-driven power brokers.
A sizeable majority of us, through the complicity of a coterie of con men; bankers, government Ministers, the insurance industry, the legal profession, the media, the builders, the speculators – were ripe for the plucking.
Such was the level of theft by the banks that Ireland is now bankrupt.
In this pyrite matter with upwards of 50,000 homes, including many extensions added to older properties, we will see no accountability assigned.
Our government will see to that and their right hand, the Courts, will affirm it.
Meanwhile we are about to see Eirgrid build one thousand pylons right across the island and bollix to you if you think you’ll have a say in who builds what on your land along that route.
Public consultations, like that one, are I believe, a smoke screen designed simply to satisfy a legal obligation. Much like having a ‘Regulator’ overseeing things – like the one we had overseeing the banks, just another legal nicety.
