iPhone3 Camera (an unintended choice)

On the beach at Fanore yesterday, I used the camera on my iPhone3. (my G11’s at the repair shop; again) I was surprised with what this gimmicky thing could produce.

And being me, this barefoot imprint brought to mind the classic tale; Robinson Crusoe.

Not so many unspoiled tropical islands left out there but, it wouldn’t be a tropical island would it? More likely half an hour on a twenty-four hour TV news channel then feck off and sort out your own troubles.

These days, troubles can be nothing more than a soundbite for profit, then shunted to the level of nuisance – next!

Anyway . . .

I tried different zooms levels but with these touch screen controls it’s not exact.

Looks OK with no zoom, a good camera.

This was a little further south as the sun slipped away by the lifeboat station in Kilrush.

Great photos! You have “The Eye”, hence you’d make a wonder with whatever camera you happen to have at hand. I really like the footprint, as it has the classical illusion of looking either pressed down or standing up form the sand….

I found that too. The lie of the shadows provides the illusion. Buildings viewed on Google Earth have that quality.
